The First Steps

I told you in my last post that I would give you some tips on how to get started making money online. And I will. But first, let me tell you something.

There are so many ways to make money online that cost nothing !! That's the Truth ! As a matter of fact, Iv'e tapped into two new resources. I am talking about real online income. I'm going to tell you more about these two exciting gems in a later post.

If you've read my previous posts you know that I am making money online and that I'm doing it with no previous knowledge, no previous computer skills and on a "shoestring" budget. By shoe string budget, I mean I had less than 30 bucks to invest into my business. You should also know by now, that my main goal with this blog is to document my success and fails, so that you can follow along and hopefully save time and money. I am going to refer to this blog as my success diary.

I had read enough to convince me that I needed a list of  real at home income opportunities. Legit Jobs has hundreds if not thousands of  them. I don't really remember exactly what I paid for that list, but it was about $30, and worth every penny. That list along with these two books "Advertising Profits From Home" and "The Hidden Millionaire" (found in the side bar), were the single most valuable tools in my online revenue generating  adventure.

If this blog were only for the reader, I could literally stop right there and feel like I gave enough information for anyone to make money online, that's how valuable I believe these tools were and still are to me. You never need to buy anything else. As a matter of fact, I suggest you don't!

I took those resources and studied them and decided that advertising could be fun and profitable. I had a lot to learn and it wasn't easy. Money didn't roll in over night, but I believed in it because, I saw it on a larger scope. I seen that lots of people were making lots of money. I wanted in on that so I didn't give up. 

I think the reason's that these resources have worked so well for me are because they are Real Opportunities and because I was Determined to make them work. Staying positive is the mindset of success. 

Right now, if your really seriously wanting to make cash from home, your first step should be to obtain the materials I have listed above and keep watching for my next posts.

Home Based Businesses That Wont Work

Chances are good that at some point in time you have ordered a home based business program. Maybe you even paid a lot of money for that program and then either left it in the box or tried it for a while and came to the conclusion that it wasn't for you. But did you ever return it for the promised full refund ? and if you did, did you get your refund?

I am not saying that all home based business programs are a scam, that they wont work or that they wont give you your money back. Obviously, that isn't true because if you're like me, you've done enough research to know that people all over the world, are making a lot of money using some of these programs. I personally am making money using a program or two. Here are a few things I v'e learned along the way about  a few of those programs.


                              
    Home Business Programs That Seem Fishy To Me

1. I'm extremely skeptical of those programs that offer the Silver, Gold and Platinum memberships. These programs cost a lot to get into! I mean geesh, for the full deal it can be literally thousand's of dollars, some 10,000 or more. If I had that kind of money laying around just to spend, I wouldn't be needing a program.
   I had ordered one such program just recently, thinking I could use some of the products they have by blending them in with what I am doing. I paid the required $10 to "weed out the tire kickers." When it came in my mail box, I listened to the short DVD and read the little booklet that came with it.
  I knew right away that it was a 3 level program, and so, when the mentor called me this morning, I told her what I thought about it, briefly and nicely. Then I told her that I was making money online with a program and that cost barley anything.
 This woman had been searching for a good home business. I briefly told her what I was doing. She was surprised when I told her that it does work and I think she may give it a try too. And why not?, I wasn't selling her anything, just telling her the truth, and she knew it.


2. I have found that the old saying "if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is", hits the nail on the head. There is no make money right now program, there is no auto pilot. You do have to work at it.


3.  If the program your thinking of trying to use for your at home business, is using high pressured sales tactics to get you to pay for a bigger package, you may want to reconsider, and for Pete's sake, don't buy the bigger program.


4. During Google searches for most online companies to see if they are legit or not, turn's up a lot of pages that say some are scams. Some of those sites are review site's, designed to lead you in one of three places, all of which belong to them anyway, so they win -win-win.


5. Every one is trying to make money online! A lot of things designed to get you to give as much information to them as possible. By giving your e-mail or phone number. They can  spam you with e-mail or call you repeatedly every day. It's annoying, and I rarely ever open that junk mail or answer the phone call's. I am not saying not to give your name and e mail, but if you are going to do that, you should set up a separate mailbox for those situations, you don't want the stuff that's spammy to be cluttering up the mail you do want.


Here are a few things we do know. We know that there are home based business programs that do work. We realize that any successful business venture requires a lot of learning and work if the business is going to make money. And we know that we want to make money online from home honestly and successfully.
 Stick with me during my posts, as I go though the details of my online income earning adventure. I'll tell you tricks and tips of what works and what doesn't, when it comes to online home based businesses.

My Online Business Adventure

Just a few years ago, I finally got fed up with the lousy job market and the low wages I was earning. I was tired of working for someone else, tired of the required hours and sick of punching a time card everyday.
I  decided it was time to start my own online business, after all, wasn't everyone online? True, everyone but ME !

I wont say it's been easy and the money does not come overnight, but, if you are motivated you can do this!
